Calculating Sodium Content

The daily intake recommendation of sodium content is 2300 mg per day. For people with high blood pressure is only 1500 grams per day

I am limiting my sodium content, so I usually use about 500 mg or less

of sodium content per day.

A) Question:

1) Let's say, I buy a bag of rice that contains 590/1080 mg of sodium; which, is not the recommendation for people with high blood pressure. I cannot eat the whole microwavable bag because of the 590/1080 mg of sodium.

2) If I want to cut that bag in half, to eat less of the 590/1080 mg of sodium, how many cups, should I use that is less than 590/1080 of sodium content from that bag and how do I calculate it?
