Rest days

I love working out, and there is no doubt I am addicted to exercise. I try to be sensible, but I would work out 7 days a week if I didn't make myself take a rest day. I was wondering, does it still count as a rest day if I do a low impact recovery cardio workout? They still burn calories and get you moving, but FB suggest they are good recovery workouts. What do you all think? Should there be at least 1 or 2 days a week with no exercise at all? (Note- I have 2 kids under 3, so I'm pretty active with them too). Thank you all in advance
