A NSV of sorts

My husband and I went out for lunch today so I got cracking early on and fitted in an hour’s walk and my scheduled 45-minute workout before hand. That’s not the victory.

Lunch was lovely but I came home thinking that I should probably go for another walk and burn off a few hundred more calories. But body and mind both said no, and reader - I listened! I ended up going back to bed and sleeping for a couple of hours, which never happens during the day (except for about twenty minutes on a Sunday, but don’t tell my pastor). I felt bad that I hadn’t done the second walk, but I also feel really pleased that I managed to respect the very real need for rest that my body was trying to communicate. Maybe I can learn after all...
