how to deal with soreness after stretching

Hi!

i've just recently started stretching more intensely (as in more than just during a cool down after wkroing out). I did almost an hour long session, and what i noticed the next day is that i feel waay more sore than i would after strength/cardio. I'm not sure how to deal with that- typically i would go easy on that muscle group, but there's not really a 'low impact stretching' workout... should i wait till the soreness subsides? or just push through it, and stretch everyday? i'm curious how do you guys schhedule out your stretching routines :))
