Monday walk - a change of pace...

Hi all! It has been quite a while since I posted one of these, but I could finally go on my monday walk again. I started of slow and easy to get back in the routine: 9.5 km in 2 hours and 15 minutes. I stopped a lot to take pictures and had a chat with someone (at a safe distance) I met along the way.

I used to do these walks as a cardio workout: high paced. But, since I am bouldering twice a week, and doing core, lower body and upper body workouts on 3 other days, I have no more time for an active rest (I have 1 full rest day a week). So I decided, my walk will be my active rest. Still going to work on long distance walking, but at a lower pace. That way I get to enjoy the surroundings as well..

The weather was gorgeous today. No jacket needed. I passed some Exmoor horses along the way, they are quite big up close.. but they were good and just kept eating.
