Achilles tendon problems

About 8 years ago I had an Achilles tendon injury caused by running and having flat feet.

Last year just before our vacation I started walking every day, which caused plantar fasciitis and couldn't be active during our vacation because of that. It took a long time, but it healed.

Now, heading to our vacation again, my Achilles is complaining a lot after even short relaxed walks, so all I can do is rest and hope it will be better in a week.

But I was wondering, would a Pilates workout for lower body do harm, or better give it complete rest ? Anyone has experience with this?
