I have a question about losing body fat and not muscle. I have been trying to cut for a few weeks because my goal is to be toned with about 20% body fat. I've been tracking my body fat with calipers and the average measurements haven't decreased even though I've lost weight on the scale.
I am currently 99lbs (and 5'1) with roughly 25-26% body fat. My calorie intake is about 1300 per day and my protein intake is about 80-105 grams per day.
I think I'm eating enough protein and I'm lifting heavy weights. Is it because I'm not eating enough calories? I would like to build muscle and lose fat but I'm scared to eat more because I don't want to gain any more body fat.
If anyone has any advice that would be great.
