Diet for high cholesterol

Hi FB fam! I haven't been here in awhile because well...COVID-19 had me hunkering down pretty hard for a few months. I hope everyone is doing wonderfully despite the current state of global affairs :/

I'd like to ask for some dietary recommendations for managing high cholesterol. Specifically, I've been tracking my food intake in Cronometer to get some insight into how, what, and how much I've been consuming. I do this from time to time to see what patterns emerge and compare them to how I feel on a regular basis.

Apparently, I overshoot my fat target everyday by a LOT. My target is 37.8 g/day, or about 20% of calories of my total daily intake, which is what K&D recommend.

I eat...I would say...about 80-90% real food on a daily basis, but I just cannot seem to keep my fat intake at or below my target, which is concerning because I do have high cholesterol.

I recently have increased my protein consumption by a lot and am meeting my daily target for protein, and I have to say I feel SO MUCH BETTER. I think my body needs it.

Any tips, tricks, or recommendations for higher protein, lower fat options?
