Mornings with Homemade muesli recipe

Hello FB family. 😄😄Hope you're all having a brilliant week and taking care of mind and body.

We just wanted to share this very simple and tasty homemade muesli recipe. Its absolutely delicious and our go to breakfast on days where we don't eat oats as our carbs or any other source of carbs.

MAKES TOTAL 6 SERVINGS (1 serve=1/2 cup)

All you need is:

- Coconut oil (We use 4 generous tablespoons)

- Rolled Oatmeal (wholegrain) We use about 1 and 1/2 cups of oats to store a batch

- Dry nutmix (We use a superfood snacking mix with almonds, cranberries, pepitas, coconut, dried blueberries and gogi berries.

STEPS TO COOK

1) Melt your coconut oil in a pan until hot

2) Put in oats and gently mix on a medium heat to toast the oats slowly to a golden brown colour. **Make sure to lower the heat down for a slow toast and avoid burning**

3) You want to make sure your oats look moist from the coconut oil and not dry. Add more coconut oil if needed and continue to toast

4) When oats are mostly all golden brown, put in your chosen nutmix and toast until the coconut shavings are slightly brown and toasted. Whatever nutmix you put in just toast through the oats and mix well to combine

5) Put aside to cool. (TIP: we usually cool for abit in the fridge if we want to eat right away.)

6) Serve with greek yoghurt or soy milk. We sometimes add a banana in there.

We love this recipe and use the batch from the cook as a snack sometimes which works well. If you can have a go at this, you'll love it!

Enjoy the rest of your week and continue to smash your workouts and be positive and kind to your body 💛💛
