Do I give it up?

Hi,

I'm feeling a little hopeless and ready to throw in the towel. I've been having issues with sleep, hip issues, and muscle tightness, and I've wanted to lose weight for years. I love FB and I'm stronger than ever, but I'm still heavier than I'd like plus the issues I listed above.

I decided three weeks ago to change my diet: limit white sugar, processed foods, and alcohol. I haven't had any of those for three weeks. I've been eating veggies, meat, chicken, and fish, eggs, and some grains (quinoa and oatmeal).

I'm still not sleeping well and I've only lost 2.5 pounds, but now the scale won't budge (last week). I've been through this before and I guess I'm worried that maybe at 42 this is just how it is and I need to accept it. Any advice or thoughts are welcome.
