Week Long Rest?? [UPDATE]

So after receiving loads of feedback (thank you very much for your suggestions!), I decided to take a week off. I was first afraid of losing the strength I've gained from exercising, but decided that I wouldn't know unless I try. All I've been doing are yoga and stretching FB videos. I'm five days in and I already feel stronger! To test it out, I did some diamond push ups on the ground (Which I NEVER HAVE DONE on the ground. I usually do them on the wall since my upper body strength is pretty weak). It's weird, I thought I would lose strength, but I'm actually getting stronger during this rest period. In reality, (after doing some research) the muscles are healing even more to become stronger.
