lunge revelation

Hey y'all,

I just noticed something and I'm wondering if I'm correct. So every time there are lunges in a workout, I cannot keep up with the pace of D&K. If there are a certain amoubt of reps, i usually start before them and they still finish before me. Yes, I do make a point of doing the lunge slowly to be sure I get the form right. But I do that with other exercises, too, and I can still keep up with them. But today I noticed that it looks like maybe they don't push back up with their moving leg but rather use the supporting leg (so the one that stays in place, which would actually be the working leg in that case...) to push/draw back up. I noticed too late to find out if it makes a difference for me, but I will try that out next time for sure. Though I assume that it will kill my legs even more than lunges already do :D anyway, do you have any thoughts on this? Have a wonderful day/night, wherever you are :)
