Stop worrying about the scale.

The scale does NOT tell you the whole story about your body. I know K&D preach this constantly, but in the last week I've seen sooooo many posts from people worrying because they gained 5 lbs, or the scale won't budge, etc.

It's not about how much you weigh. I recently found this youtube channel (I'm a big fan of this actress) and came across this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BkU3MuRauqc&t=6s

Warning: this video deals a lot with weight, both numbers and comparing her body at different weights. If this is a sensitive thing for you, don't watch it.

But the point of the video is simply this- two people who weigh the same, or weigh within a few pounds of each other, can look very different- even the same person. It's not about scale weight, but more about muscle content and body fat.

I think it also does a good job of highlighting the fact that the "ideal" bodies we see in movies and on TV are sculpted specifically for that aesthetic, and if they were just being their normal selves, they would not look that way.

This video :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TNQ8ZKq9QQo shows Steve Zim (the trainer from the previous video) working with 3 people from Buzzfeed. One of the women, Ashly, gains 3 lbs of scale weight but dropped 2 dress sizes in a month and lost 5.7% of her body fat, and obviously looks much leaner.

So the moral of this story is- scales are a tool we often use incorrectly. Like K&D say- take measurements, take photos, see how your clothes are fitting- THOSE are things that will really tell you if you're heading in the right direction.

Stay positive guys, if you put in the effort it will pay off.
