I adore tomato soup but hate store bought. I found this recipe from Martha Stewart that I fell in love with. I will tell you that I don't use store bought tomatoes. You can if you prefer. We use our home grown tomato's that we canned ourselves. The flavor of this soup is so much better when you use your own tomato's. The recipe calls for chicken stock but you can use vegetable broth if you prefer. There is no cream in this soup. I think you'll like this if you enjoy soup as much as I do.
