Anyone heard of 'trigger workouts'?

.... by which I don't mean the feelings 'triggered' by reading ahead on your schedule and seeing there is a 1000 cal workout coming up! (fear, excitement, hope that your internet may go down that day!?)

I read recently about the idea that you set a timer throughout the day, every hour or every 2 hours and when it goes off you perform a number of moves. Say, 10 squats, 10 jacks, 10 push up's of whatever. Nothing so explosive you need a warm up a major cool down/ stretch or that it would be over use but a little blip of movement throughout the day helping to guard against being too sedentary.

I just wondered if anyone had heard of this and what people think of the idea? Just curious as there are many knowledgeable people in our lovely community!
