Bulking on a budget

My husband is trying to gain some weight and he needs about 3200 calories a day to do so.

However, we really are struggling economically, so we can't afford fancy stuff. That has him heating almost a pound of cooked rice everyday and he's getting desperate.

I've tought about purchasing FB meal plan, but I have 2 questions:

1: Does it work for someone with a high calorie need?

2: Does it require a lot of money to follow?
