Combination of FB and running

Hey everyone :)

I hope everyone is alright and had a good workout today :) I am currently struggling a bit to combine FB workouts and running and hope you guys may have some experience with that. My current training schedule consists of running about 8 km in hilly terrain followed by a core workout at home, then a rest day, the next day I do upper and lower body workouts, then rest day and then start all over with a running/core day. So my question is: Is working my muscle every 4 days enough to improve my fitness? I would like to train more often but also love my runs, and at least my legs need to rest after running.
