Home-made banana and chocolate cereal bars

Hi Blenders,

Here's a really nice recipe for home-made cereal bars. I've been eating them for two weeks now (made them twice) and find them really good so wanted to share. The original recipe is in French:

https://cuisine-addict.com/barres-cereale-maison-banane-chocolat/

So here's a home-made translation for you:

Ingredients

• 4 bananas

• 200 g pitted dates

• 280 g oats

• 80 g almond powder

• 60 g peanut butter

• 45 g cocoa powder

• 3 tbsp maple syrup

• 1 tsp vanilla extract

• 1 pinch of salt

Preparation

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Cut the bananas in slices. Put the oats into a blender and mix until you obtain a fine powder. Add the almond powder, half of the bananas and the maple syrup. Mix everything together in the blender to obtain a dough ball.

2. Put a big tablespoon of the dough aside and press the rest into a silicone mould (or another baking dish lined with parchment paper) of approx.. 30 x 20 cm.

3. Put the rest of the bananas, the dates, the peanut butter, the cocoa, the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt into the blender. Blend together and spread on top of the oats mixture. Add the reserved dough on top (crumble-like).

4. Bake in the oven for about 25 minutes. Let cool for a few minutes, then remove from the pan/mould and cut into bars. Keep in the fridge, wrapped in cellophane.

I'm not used to translating into a foreign language, so excuse any errors please... Hopefully it's still understandable.

Let me know what you think if you try them! :)

This weekend, I'm going to try FB bar recipes for a change. :)
