Dealing with Setbacks — How to Stay Fit While Injured or Sick

Fitness Blender Family,

Just checking in to say hello and post a reminder about dealing with setbacks.

We all know that exercise carries with it countless healthy benefits, but workouts can also help keep you grounded, help you focus, and make you feel good. This is more important now, than ever, of course.

For many of us, exercise is so important that it becomes a sort of personal therapy. However, when sidelining events happen (and they happen to all of us at different times), and we’re forced to take some time away from exercise, it can be a very difficult time.

How we handle injury, illness, and just life challenges makes all the difference. Sometimes the very best thing we can do is to slow down and give ourselves the time we need to rest and recover. We shouldn’t feel badly about this.

Here’s a quick article about “Dealing with Setbacks — How to Stay Fit While Injured or Sick.” Give it a read and let us know your thoughts. If you’re currently dealing with a setback of some kind, hang in there. You’ve got this...but you might need to remind yourself that even though it feels good to push and improve yourself, and exercise is a great way to manage life stress, that sometimes rest is what we need the most.

And, of course, we’re still here (and will be here when you’re ready to jump back in), and our Community forum here is a great place to find some support, encouragement, and motivation. Even if you cannot work out with us right now, stay in touch, stay connected.

P.S. This kind of thing has been going around social media, but take a careful look at the picture here. Think about a place that brings you joy. Post a pic of your own.
