Trying FB Plus recipes + batch cooking menus

Hi Blenders,

I recently prepared two FB Plus recipes and really enjoyed them, so I wanted to share them with you, in case some of you want to try them out too, especially since so many of us will be spending a looot of time at home during the next few weeks. ;)

The first one is the "Whole Grain Hearty and Healthy Pot Pie" (https://www.fitnessblender.com/articles/whole-grain-hearty-and-healthy-pot-pie), which I prepared for supper yesterday. It was delicious. I had to increase the quantities for the crust by a lot, but I think that's because I followed the instructions in grams, and that didn't work with my flour, so I just eyeballed it, and it worked fine. :) I freestyled in the spices department, and it turned out great (not exactly the most esthetic, but who cares :D), despite my lack of experience with pot pies.

Then this morning, I made the "Fig and Dark Chocolate Whole Wheat Muffins" (https://www.fitnessblender.com/articles/fig-and-dark-chocolate-whole-wheat-muffins) for breakfast (we'll have enough left for tomorrow morning too). This time, I tried following the instructions in cups, not in grams, so as not to have the same problem as yesterday, and it was great. I replaced the flax meal with rye flour because that's what I had at home, and the applesauce with a mashed banana, as suggested. It was delicious! My muffins have a little Elvis-problem (Elvis-hair this time, not Elvis-lips like during lateral raises :D), don't know what I'm doing wrong, but anyway, this doesn't affect the taste.

I also wanted to share a (French) website I recently came across about batch cooking. Every week, the lady who runs this website posts a new batch-cooking menu (4/5 meals), with seasonal vegetables, easy ingredients, etc. There are clear instructions about how to prepare all of it, what's left to do during the week, etc., as well as a grocery list. I really like it, it does require some time during the weekend, but it makes the evenings during the week so much more relaxed! It is in French, so most of you will probably not be able to use it, but you never know, maybe there are other French-speakers/French learners out there who will appreciate it. And I guess you could find a similar website in English or in another language, might be worth searching for. ;)

There are currently 55 weekly menus, sorted by season.

I hope this will be useful to some of you. :)

Most of all, I hope you're all having a great weekend, enjoying your meals, workouts/rest days, despite everything that's happening at the moment. Stay safe, be extra careful but don't panic ;)

Have a great Sunday everyone!
