Do I need more steps in general

Hello, amazing people of FitnessBlender!

Recently I’ve been thinking about my daily steps count. I am going to provide a bit more context.

So I work a desk job for 8 hours/5 days a week. My spouse usually takes me by car since we like to sleep in and start the day slowly therefore I’m always late 😅 Now, I’m doing various workouts with FB for 4/5 days each week so I don’t feel too stiff. But my actual steps aren’t more than 1000 on my workdays.

So recently I’ve been thinking if maybe I should include more walking/running in my day to day activities. I guess I’m not really sure if it’s actually needed since I’m working out at home.

I do get to go out a bit more on the weekends, but since I live in a small town there’s not really many places I could go to.

Please let me know what you think. Any suggestions are much appreciated because I’ve wondered about this for quite some time now.
