What made you realise you wanted to be healthy

I tried working for 2 years every couple of months for a week or two and then i would just give up and go back to my unhealthy life (smoking and working). I feel so different now though extremely motivated. i gave up smoking but yesterday i had a cigarette and felt like crying and i felt so bad usually that wouldve been my cue to give up but now i feel even more motivated to never do it again and just keep working out. It really feels like a big change is happening and i guess im just curious has anyone else had a massive wake up call that kept your motivation up?
