Intuitive Eating is Our Jam

I never really knew what it was called, but intuitive eating is our jam.

When I first heard Kelli and Daniel talk about it, I must admit that I was not convinced. I thought that I would "intuitively" eat a bunch of...errrr...less healthy alternatives.

Much to my surprise, however, by being just a bit more conscious with my food choices, my taste buds quickly changed. I don't even want some of the things that I once thought that I'd intuitively crave.

Case in point...if #chefinthemaking had plopped this plate down in front of me a few years ago, I would have turned up my nose (for a variety of reasons...including both what was on the plate and what was "missing"). Fast forward to last night...and this simple plate of roasted/grilled chicken, roasted Brussels sprouts, and roasted broccolini seemed to be EXACTLY what I wanted/needed...intuitively.

It may not work for everyone, but we're converts.

P.S. I even turned a few pieces of broccolini in the skillet, so I can honestly say that “we” made an amazing, simple dinner. Right? Right.
