Yay.... first run since October, running with Goodgym!

Tonight I did my first proper run since getting my rib injury in October and my knee injury in November!!! It was a Goodgym run, where we ran 3.5k to a charity, called IAAC. This charity tries to bring people from all sorts of different cultures together in a part of town where there are many cultural diversities. They moved into new premises and needed help with painting. That’s what Goodgym does: run to a place, do a good deed by helping charities, then run back. After the painting we still had to run 3.5k back. And as we had cycled there, it also included a big uphill bit, both ways!

I am so happy. I was not fast, and beforehand I wanted to cancel! But I did it!!! The advantage of running in a group is that you keep going. You don’t want to give up and let the group down! If I had been on my own or just with my husband, I would not have run that far.
