I went to exchange my walking shoes yesterday for the exact same pair. The old ones had changed colour due to leather conditioner (that was recommended). I had walked on them for 6 months, so now I needed to break in my new pair. I went on a 'short' walk; 11 km on paper(6.8 miles) with my friend and her dog. She picked me up with the car and her dog got crazy happy when I got into the car (she gets so excited when we go for walks), it was so funny.
We walked in Rotterdam, a big town, but in the more expensive areas. There is so much green when you know where to go.
The mill in the picture burned down in 1969, but they rebuild it. In the other picture you can see the mill with the skyline of the city behind it.
In the end it was about 13k. My achilles hurt a little after our walk, but no blisters yet.
