Only 1.2k walk today, but what a beautiful place!!!

We are travelling back from our skiing holiday in Andorra. Last night we stayed in this amazing place: Les Moulins du Daumail. Two old mills, parts of which are over 1000 years old. Built above a stream used for milling flour, but later used as pebble mills: grinding stones and pebbles to be used in the porcelain industry. These used seven different millstones in this process, some still on display. Apparently the mills had two different owners whose families were at each other’s throats for over three centuries. These conflicts ended when the current owner took it all on and converted it into the amazingly beautiful place it is today.

We couldn’t leave this place without exploring it and the river that runs along it. We only managed a 1.2k walk as we had to travel on. But it was such a beautiful place, we will definitely return.

Frustrated at being inactive in the car for two days and now on the ferry 😱, can’t wait to get back into exercising again tomorrow! Seaswim already planned!

Pic: bits of the mills inside and outside, the river flowing underneath seen from our room (my husband could hear the water, I couldn’t)!
