Welp going to start Round2 of FBFit soon, just got the MealPlan

So Ive been struggling to lose 35lbs since i started this fitness journey seriously 3 months ago. i have finished fb abs and nearly done with FBFit round1. I have tried following a 1500cal plan. a 1400 cal plan. i lost a few pounds then christmas rolled around and i gained it back(i was enjoying my time with my husband who i rarely get to see due to work) and i over indulged. Ive gotten back to eating better and yet nothing. thing is when i was doing 1400calorie plan i lost about 5pounds and that was it. it wasnt anything dramatic and probably just water.

so my question is. how do i know if im eating too much or too little calories? how does on determine this because im about to start the FBmealplan in a week and a half and the least the allot is 1600calories.
