You Did What Now?

We eat mostly plant-based, but don't really have anything we won't eat from time to time...

With that as background, #chefinthemaking decided to prepare beef bourguignon last tonight, which (among other things) calls for bacon.

At one point, I started to smell bacon being fried...and I got confused.

Why?

Well, I had already smelled bacon being fried earlier, so this was an entirely new round of bacon frying...so I decided to investigate.

Walking into the kitchen, I asked, "what are you doing, wife? What happened to the bacon you fried earlier?"

She looked up at me sheepishly, smiled, looked back down and mumbled something.

“What?”

Then she just started laughing...and then put her head down (but still laughing).

I'll give you one guess as to what happened to it, folks.

Yep...SHE ATE THE DAMN BACON. All of it.

"It was only three strips," she said. "And it just looked so good."

Uhhhh...yeah. It's bacon!

Every time I think that I cannot love #chefinthemaking more than I already do...she goes and does something like this. I really, really love food...and really, really love people who love food...of all types!
