Monday walk 25-11-2019

What a gorgeous day for a walk! Autumn is showing it's beaitiful colours. I walked in Oostvoorne, one of the wealthier towns in this area, I started wondering if people realised how lucky they are to live there. Then I realised that I am lucky to live where I do.

I walked about 20 km today.

The wooden bridge was a bit scary and in dire need of maintenance (loose planks!!)

The building on the picture was used as a meetingpoint for the inspectors of the dunes and dikes. It was torn down by the Germans in WW2 because they were afraid it would be a point of recognotion for the allies and because it was an obstacle in the coastaldefence. Plans for rebuilding it were made in 1949, but it wasn't till 2014 that they build an exact replica. It can host parties of 30/35 people.
