Listen to Your Body!

If you’ve been working out with us for a while, you’ve likely heard the phrase, “listen to your body” quite often.

Well, one of the central points we’re trying to make is that no one knows better than you what you’re feeling and how you’re responding to exercise. Need to take a break? Need to lift heavier? Need to modify for lower impact? Need to do an extra set of an exercise? Need to take a rest day?

The answer to all of these questions is—listen to your body!

Honestly, so much of working out (and getting healthier, in general) is finding what works for you. There is no “one” way that works best for everyone. No one way to exercise; no one way to eat; no one way to feel.

So, this brings us back to listening to our bodies. Finding what works may take time and effort, but is definitely worth it. Listen to your body and don’t be afraid to modify!

But how? Well, here’s an article (and vlog), How to “Listen to Your Body" During a Workout — When to Stop & When to Keep Pushing, that may be helpful.

How well do you listen to your body and modify accordingly?
