Overhead tricep extensions - HELP

Every time I do overhead tricep extensions it hurts my elbow so bad and I do actually feel it in my tricep.

I obviously stop because I am not about to hurt myself just to finish a love but than I feel pretty defeated. I have lowered my weight to even just my daughters 1 pound weights that she uses to workout with me and it still hurts. If I do it with no weight i have no pain with that range of motion. I also never feel it and I have tried so hard to focus on the muscle and no luck.

Is the answer to just not do this exercise?... if so what do I sub it with!?
