Working Out While Sick...Is That a Thing?

Hey FBFamily! I was wondering what you guys' thought are on being sick and working out. Could those two go together? I mean I know it depends on how sick you are and what the doctor says and most likely you probably shouldn't. When I say sick I mean in terms of a fever or a cold which is what I had last week. I couldn't work or do anything too crazy at least until Friday only because of doctor's orders but honestly I felt like I could do at least a low impact workout. I know usually I should listen to the doctor but doctors don't know how you feel unless you tell them. Should I have done a workout anyway even though I was still a little sick or was it right that I listened to my doctor and didn't? What would you guys have done?
