Pulled my left hip flexor muscle..

So, about a week ago I started getting sudden and random stabs of pain on the hip flexor area, so in order to let it rest and recover, I'm guessing it's best to avoid HIIT and maybe lower body strength for a while. BUT, being the FB workout junkie that I am, I need to feel that I've done something for the day, without pushing that area. What workouts are good in this case? Long walks sadly feel like a bad idea, as the stabs mostly occur when I'm walking.
