Daily Check-in: Thursday, August 22nd

Hello Blenders! Happy Almost-Friday to you all!

How're you doing today? Feelin good?

Are you lookin forward to your weekend? Already have some fun things planned out to do?

I'm just ready for a break overall! This week's been a bit overwhelming, so the weekend can't get here fast enough!

In the meantime, how about a bit of sunshiney happiness in the form of a flower pic? I'm excited to share this with you, because this is our first sunflower to open! These guys were actually just a happy accident in planting, but they've grown mightily (over 10 ft tall and counting), and just started blooming! They are such a joy to look at with their bright yellow petals--especially against a very blue sky. Since they make me happy, I thought I'd share, and hopefully they'll make you feel even the slightest bit happy too.

Now it's time to talk workouts! How bout it, Blenders? How're your workouts goin? Are you enjoying them? And are you giving yourself enough time to rest too? (I hope you are!!)

Do you plan on working out today, or is it a rest day for you?

Workout day here! I got through my HIIT/core combo with Daniel yesterday, and lemme tell ya, the sweat was real with that one! Holy smokes!

And for today, I'm still actually pretty sore in my upper body from my kickboxing workout on Tuesday. So I'm going to try a lower body workout. I know it's not ideal to do a lower body routine the day after HIIT, but I'm not feeling sore in my legs, and my upper body needs a rest. I used to do this routine all the time back in the day! It's an awesome leg and glute burner--and it's also one of the few that Kelli herself narrates from K & D's voice-over days! Great for a Throwback Thursday workout, if I do say so myself!

(Throwback Thursday workouts should become a regularly occurring thing, methinks!!)

I'm thinking it's a great day for eggs and veggies! It's kinda awesome when I can make a meal that comes almost entirely from my home--i.e. my chickies and my garden. So that'll do for an absolutely beautiful late summertime supper!
