Weight loss and workout myths | oppinions

I was recently thinking about how many conflicting opinions and "weight loss tips" are out there, and I was wondering what everyone thought.

Ones that I have heard/found about certain workouts:

- When doing lunges you shouldn't let your knees touch the floor//You should always have you knee touch the floor.

- Deadlifts are more effective when done slowly//Keep an even pace throughout but it doesn't have to be done slowly.

- Burpees are terrible for you and shouldn't be done//Burpees are great and effective if done correctly.

Ones that I've found about "diets" and weight loss:

- Eating more can help you lose weight//Tracking and sticking to a strict calorie level will help you lose weight (This one is particularly confusing for me because I've used several websites and apps to see how much I should be eating and they all tell me different things)

- Always do fasted cardio//Fasted cardio is dangerous.

- No carbs will allow you to lose weight fast//Carbs are a necessary part of your diet and help you lose weight.

What are your opinions? I would love to know :)

**These aren't my opinions just things I've heard and read that have me a little confused lol**
