Need advice

I hesitate to call what I am asking advice for a “problem”. After rebounding from back injury and finally shaking loose that extra 8-10 pounds, I truly just feel so grateful to be working out and feeling good again. The icing on the cake would be to actually see some muscle tone. I am 43 and lifting more often and heavier than I did in my 20’s and 30’s but am definitely not seeing the tone I had then. I have been through Strong 4 times now, increasing my weight when I can and I love it, but would be open to changing my routine to get some of that visible tone. Any advice would be much appreciated.
