A cardio trio for me today!!

Last Saturday I was struggling to do a 5k run, I did it in 34mins, which I was not very happy about! (Mind you, afterwards I thought “well, I still lapped all those sitting on the couch...”!) I only went running once after I did that 10k race in May. No wonder I was struggling. I have been concentrating on training for that seaswim for quite a while now. In fact, in these last two weeks, I have been in the sea, swimming or doing some drills, every day!

Anyway, I decided that I would get some more running in, not just concentrate on my swim training, but get my fun in running back again. I decided last night that I would go for a short run this morning, but then realised I had promised a friend I would go swimming at 6.45! Well .... After my swim I got my running gear on and said to my husband: “I will only do 3k or so”. Taking in some hills around here, I ended up doing a bit more than that, but I was really enjoying myself!

Then this afternoon we are cycling to “our” island to watch an open air theatre performance, Shakespeare’s Richard III there tonight. As we are not allowed to cycle along the promenade on the way there, we will be doing some hill-work then as well!

That completes my cardio trio today! No FB, no stretching, as I will be sitting all evening, on a not too comfy chair, watching Shakespeare’s longest play 😱🤣.....
