Thoughts on carbs

Hey everyone!

My brother has recently had GREAT success with counting macros and since he's had such awesome success I wanted to try to count macros too.

It seems like I never get enough protein (he suggested 150 grams) but am always going over on carbs (he suggested 105 grams).

My question is if I mostly do hiit and strength workouts; is it ok that I'm going over on my carbs each day?

On days that are lighter cardio, I try to tone it down on the carbs. Is this a good strategy?
