Ditching the scale

These pictures might be a little TMI for some people, (and honestly the anxiety in posting this is higghhhh), but I feel as though this is an important lesson for people - including myself.

I've been losing weight for over a year now, and I'm down 30lbs. Which I'm not saying isn't a good thing, because it's great! However I get discouraged as to it ONLY being 30lbs. This is my second weight loss journey (long story as to why it's my second lol) and in my first I was down almost 60lbs by this point.

But I took this picture the other day and couldn't believe my eyes! The "Before" is from January, and the "now" is from...Well now lol!

I have not lost 1 single lb in between these! Not one!

I am honestly still in shock.

But it just goes to show that we shouldn't focus on the scale entirely. It'll change eventually, it has to. I'm not looking to replace all the fat I lose with muscle so eventually the scale will move. But this was a huge reminder for me to not focus on the number and pay attention to how I feel instead!
