Leg lifts

Hi all,

I was just wondering if any of you know how I could improve my leg lifts, that is, get my legs higher. I notice that when Kelli and Daniel are doing the front leg kicks in the warm ups or as part of the workout, they can lift their legs really high.

Would it be more leg strength specific or something to do with flexibility...or both?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance :)
