MMR Immunization

I recently read a news article that talked about people born between 1970 and 1996 having received only one MMR and needing 2 for proper immunity. So I called Public Health and sure enough I needed to go in. So on Tuesday my husband and I went for the Measles Mumps and Rubella shot. My husband doesn't like needles so he was a bit moody afterwards lol. I'll have to go back in next month for another one because it turns out my first MMR was when I was an infant and they now consider this an ineffective age to receive the MMR. I'm so glad I read that article 😁, so heads up if you live in Canada and fall between those dates you might be short on your MMR immunization.
