Staying fit with an injury?

So today I was playing a soccer game and was slide tackled and had my feet taken out from under me. The other player's cleat came into direct contact with my right ankle, and I was unable to finish the game. It is severely swollen and bruised. I cannot move it or walk on it without pain and am on crutches. Needless to say, I was not able to workout today, and I'm not sure how long it will be before I can get back into it. So for those of you who have sustained an injury like this before, how did you stay in shape through it? Anything just to burn some calories... don't want to get too out of shape! Thank you all!
