Back to intensive HIIT after some weeks

Oh man, during the last 6 weeks I used to do pretty intensive lower body strength training on my Tuesdays. This week I felt like jumping around, so I did this workout to combine the strength training with some HIIT. Not only was the workout suuuuuuper tough, I also got the most brutally sore quads that I had in ages! Even today, two days later, I still have serious trouble squatting down. Yesterday it was so intense that I took a whole day off from working out x)

I am absoltuely sure it's the HIIT that made the difference! When I did FB fit 1 and 2 last year and early this year, I got so used to it that I didn't get that sore anymore, but now I can clearly see that pure strength training cannot completely compensate for that special kind of stress that HIIT puts on the muscles. Gonna do more of that during the weeks to come :)
