Strength Training for Runners?

How many runners do we have out there? Are you looking for ways to improve your performance, mix up your training, avoid serious injury?

If so, here’s a great article that we published a while back (written by a physical therapist), “The Importance of Strength Training for Runners - Strength Exercises for Endurance Athletes.”

Many distance runners (and other endurance athletes) avoid strength training because they don’t want to bulk up, gain weight, and think they may decrease their flexibility, which may negatively affect their performance. In this article, we’ll dig into this unfortunate misperception, and highlight how strength training can actually improve running performance.
