Metabolism too disturbed?

So, K&D talk a lot about "disturbing your metabolism" by doing HIIT, etc. I started to exercise again at the beginning of March, and now my metabolism seems... too disturbed. I am hungry almost all the time. I can eat a full meal, feel overly full, and then as the "stuffed" feeling fades, I get hungry. As in, tummy growling, hangry, NEED to eat. Fyi, I have thyroid issues (hypo), so I take a thyroid med. But this is a recent thing. Frankly, it is driving me nuts. I don't calorie count or track food because I have a history with anorexia and tracking food brings back disordered thoughts and habits for me. I am just trying to be more mindful of portions and making healthy or healthier food choices in general. So, I suppose I may be at too much of a deficit, but I can't say for certain.

Does anyone have any advice or has anyone gone through this?
