Healthy relationship with food.

I have struggled my whole life with being over weight. I was never taught how to have a healthy relationship with food and often binge eat. I go through times where I do really well but then life happens and I fall off of the wagon again. My goal for this year is to learn how to have a healthy relationship with food. I don't want to count calories or follow a diet. I want to teach myself how to eat healthy food and to be able to control my hunger with good choices. Is it possible to lose weight by just eating real food and not actually dieting? I want to be able to achieve my weight loss goals and be able to maintain my progress. How do I do this? How do I control my binge eating which is basically emotional eating? Is there anyone that can relate or may have advice for me? I really appreciate anyone who is able to give me their input.
