Music And Workouts

So many times working out with FB, Kelli will say ...”if you have music, listen to it...” (I am paraphrasing a bit). Until recently I wouldn’t because I wanted to hear all the instructions. Now, after 1 1/2 years, I’m feeling confident so this Saturday I finally put music on. Wow, what a difference! I lifted heavier, faster & while in the midst of this “meditative” state, new music likes of which I’d never heard before came through the speakers. “Ranky Tanky.” No joke, that’s the bands name. My best description would be jazz, Southern rock blended with Gullah. Last week apparently they performed on The Today Show. The band hails from my hometown, Charleston, SC, so give them a listen to if your in the mood for great soulful music.
