Proper Squat Form

Hey guys!

I was wondering what you guys think of this as I was confused due to different opinions from different instructors that I have met.

Are you supposed to thrust your hips forward and squeeze your glutes when coming up from a Squat?

Some instructors and Fitness Youtubers have been doing this and telling me to do it as I otherwise won't target my glutes much whereas several other instructors have warned me from not doing it as I would end up damaging my lower back, my knees and my hip joints.

As you might have guessed, I am pretty confused by these two differing opinions. :D

What are your guys' thoughts?
