Working Out without losing weight

Hi everyone

I am plannig to create a workout schedule for myself.

I am underweight for my height and don't have much fat on my body. So I avoid cardio exercises and high impact (more calorie burn) programs. But I should workout for gaining muscle weight and be healthier. I am trying to eat more in proportions but you can eat only to a certain degree. Besides, eating without workout might mess up my already above average cholesterol.

What type of workout programs should I follow? And on what intervals?
