Time of Day

What time of day do you find is best for workouts? I normally work out in the afternoon, and have for years. But I like the idea of working out in the morning, and do that on the weekends sometimes. But to do that during my work week would require a 5:00 am wake up time. What are the benefits of doing a morning workout - those of you that do one?
